The challenge
Automotive is the least forgiving category there is. The vehicle has to be exactly itself from every angle, it has to move with real weight, and the landscape has to be somewhere a buyer believes they could drive to. Shot conventionally this is a multi-state location shoot with a camera car and a permit stack.
The idea
Two worlds, one drive. Open on a city street where the vehicle reads as a daily object, then hand the second half to canyon country and let the landscape do the aspirational work. The badge shot sits in the middle as the hinge between them.
The production.
- 01
Vehicle accuracy
Body lines, grille, wheel design, badge placement and ride height were locked before anything else. On a car film, a wrong panel gap is the whole illusion.
- 02
Weight and motion
Suspension travel, dust behaviour and body roll tuned so a two-and-a-half tonne vehicle moves like one — the detail that separates automotive film from a render.
- 03
Location design
A coherent canyon geography rather than a set of unrelated vistas, so the drive reads as one journey through one place.
- 04
Light continuity
Low sun held consistent across the second half, with the city section kept cooler so the cut between worlds does the narrative work.
- 05
Interior & grade
A driver's-seat sequence for scale and material, then graded warm through the landscape and resolved on the brand endcard.
Automotive is the least forgiving category there is. A wrong panel gap is the whole illusion.
